We collaborated with Juntendo University on a new scientific publication that addresses the challenges of generating real-world evidence (RWE) in Japan using real-world data (RWD). Key challenges discussed include transparency of RWD sources, data linkage across care settings, definition of clinical outcomes, transparency of study design, and management of biases. Research jointly conducted with Juntendo University (Real-World Evidence and Data Assessment) has been published in BMC Health Services Research. We collaborated with Juntendo University on a new scientific publication that evaluated claims-based algorithms for detecting patients with colorectal cancer using administrative claims data in a Japanese hospital. The results showed that the diagnosis code-based algorithm had a high positive predictive value (PPV) of 86.3%, which increased to 94.0% when the diagnosis codes were restricted to site-specific cancer codes, and was sufficient and valid for identifying colorectal cancer. We collaborated with Juntendo University on a new scientific publication that attempted to replicate the three published randomized controlled trials (RCTs) using a Japanese claims and health checkup database. Comparing the results of RCTs with those of real-world data (RWD) studies mimicking the critical study elements of RCTs, reasons for the discrepancy and elements to be considered in RWD studies were discussed. An attempt to replicate randomized trials of diabetes treatments using a Japanese administrative claims and health checkup database: A feasibility study.

We collaborated with Juntendo University on a new scientific publication which compared the effect estimates among different time-zero settings in a comparative effectiveness study with a non-user comparator using real-world data. The results showed that the treatment effect varied depending on how to set time zero, highlighting the significant impacts of time-zero settings on the study results. "Current and Graduated Tenant Enterprise Achievement Presentations" was held on Dec. 11, 2015 to celebrate the 10th anniversary founding of Nagoya Life-science Incubator (NALIC). We were NALIC office tenants from May 2006 to May 2015. NALIC is one of the facilities under the management of Chubu Head Office of the Organization for Small & Medium Enterprises and Regional Innovation of Japan that supports the growth of venture and small and medium enterprises. At the presentations, our CEO, Tatsuya Isomura, gave a speech including topics on the "Corporate history of CSS and NALIC" and "Our future business development".
